Papuan Frogmouth (Podargus papuensis)

The Papuan Frogmouths (Podargus papuensis) are found in Australia, Indonesia, and Papua New Guinea.

This species inhabits subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.

Diet / Feeding:

Frogmouths have enormous wide frog-like mouths (hence their name), which they use to capture nocturnal insects.

They also eat worms, slugs, and snails; as well as small mammals, reptiles, frogs, and small birds.
