On the 18th of May 1996 the inaugural meeting of the Mantid Study Group was held at Dudley Zoo in the UK. Interested parties from all over Britain were present, including myself, and the basic structure of the society was confirmed. The society aims to facilitate communication between member enthusiasts, allowing better distribution of nymphs, ootheca and males where necessery as well as fostering the study of Mantids whenever possible. Shortly after that I set up this website but I never had the time to do much with it, now there is a new MSG Website.
