The Red-backed Scrub-robins (Cercotrichas leucophrys) – also known as White-Browed Scrub-Robins – have a large range in Africa.

They occur naturally in the countries of Angola, Botswana, Burundi, Republic of the Congo, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Gabon, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

These birds inhabit dry forests and dry savanna.
