The Little Bronze-Cuckoos (Chrysococcyx minutillus) is the world’s smallest cuckoo weighing in at about 17 grams or less than 0.6 ounces, with an average length of 15 cm or 6 inches.
This Little Bronze-Cuckoos is known by various names, including Island Cuckoo, Little Bronze Cuckoo, Little Bronze-Cuckoo, Malay Bronze Cockoo and Pied Bronze Cuckoo
The Little Bronze-cuckoos is found in Australia, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam where it favors subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest areas
The subspecies rufomerus is sometimes given specific status as the Green-cheeked Bronze Cuckoo, Chrysococcyx rufomerus.
